Hi, Guys, and Welcome to Studio Knit. Today, we are going to learn to make a TEDDY
BEAR. This is from the Mother Bear Project. It is
something I introduced last week in my GIVEAWAY. So make sure to keep watching and find out
who is the lucky winner. So let us get started! The materials you will
need are yarn, knitting needles, scissors, a tapestry needle, and stuffing. I am going to be giving an overview of the
Mother Bear Project. The pattern can be downloaded from the link below. You will see that it
is really fun. It is a World War Two pattern. It is quite simple. You start from the bottom
– I have the feet and the legs – and then you just knit all the way up. You can either
do a STOCKINETTE OR A GARTER STITCH. And you just knit all the way up. The brown area is
the beginning of the head. To finish it, you just knit all the way, and then you flip it
over. And you have the front and the back side of your bear. After you turn it inside out, go ahead and
sew all of the edges together with your yarn, using your tapestry needle. The arms are a
little tricky. So, I want to show you in detail how you do the arms. After you have done the
entire body, you pick up the stitches in where the arms would be. So you just pick up a stitch
just like that and you knit into it. And you do that on both sides. Once you have completed
the arms, it is time to turn it inside out. Keeping the sides of the head open, go ahead
and embroider your face. You can do it anyway you would like. Then go ahead and stuff your
bear from the sides of the head. Once you have completed that, go ahead and sew up the
side of the head. And then it is time to sew the ears. Tie a scarf tightly around the neck.
That will help the shape of the head to become a little bit rounder and you are DONE. In my last video, I shared that my niece Delilah
was my Teddy Bear Fashion Designer. She colored this great picture of a Teddy Bear for me.
And from it, this is the Bear that I knit. She loves it and is so excited that it is
going to go to a special child in Africa. So let us get to the GIVEAWAY. The giveaway
winner will receive a complete MOTHER BEAR PROJECT Knitting Kit which includes yarn,
needles, and the pattern. It was so great to get to know more about
you, your knitting experience, your mothers, and who would like to knit a bear for. So,
let us get to it. Using Random.org, the winning number is 13.
And number 13 is Daniella Khirman. Congratulations, Daniela! You are the Giveaway winner of the
Mother Bear Project knitting kit. Congratulations. Thank you so much for watching. Please check
out the links below to learn more about The Mother Bear Project and to order your own
knitting kit and pattern. Please subscribe and receive a new KNITTING
